We're David and Stephanie Short.
We own Up Closets of St. Louis and its sister company, Fresh Faced Cabinets, and we run both out of Crestwood. We are not a large corporation with layers of management or out-of-town decision-makers. When you work with us, you are working directly with the owners of the company.

Our story
Home improvement has always been the family business.
We are both from the St. Louis area, and we met more than 25 years ago working at Home Depot. We have had a passion for home improvement projects ever since we bought our first fixer-upper in South St. Louis.
Since then we have been Realtors, rehabbers, Etsy store owners and furniture builders, and for about a decade, home improvement business owners. Fresh Faced Cabinets grew out of all of it: updating kitchens without tearing them out. In 2022 we added Up Closets of St. Louis, so the same family could take care of closets, pantries, laundry rooms and garages too.
We love helping people improve their homes, and we are amazed at all the great people we have been able to help.

David Short
When you call, David is usually the one who answers. He walks you through what your closet, pantry or kitchen can become and stays involved through the final walkthrough.
Stephanie Short
Stephanie works in the business as lead designer. As one customer put it: "As soon as I met Stephanie I could see just how organized and meticulous she was."
